A proud father

This is a late post but still I am eager to inform my blog communities that I have another dose of blessing this past month through my 3rd child Eva "Bambam."

Bambam was among the three pupils from Naval SPED Center, Naval, Biliran who passed the qualifying examinations of the Phillipine Science High School, the best performing government ran high school in the country specializing on science and mathematics. They were also the only passers from Biliran Province out of about 100 takers. Then on February 26, 2009, Bambam together with teammate Mark, won 3rd place during the Regional (East Visayas) Metro Bank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge in Catbalogan City, Samar. It's really a blessing to win against competitors from the cities within the region. Thanks to the selfless mentoring of their Math adviser Mr. German Donato. My Congratulations to the Team and to Sir Donato as well.

Bambam is now admitted as a scholar in the PSHS Eastern Visayas campus in Palo, Leyte and will start a new life as a first year high school student by the start of the school year 2009-2010 this June, 2009. By that time she would be 150 or more kilometers away from us living as an independent person at age thirteen. It is a tough challenge for both of us parents and the child being separated. And this is one of the reasons why most parent-child relationships fail. But we know that with our prayers, we would be able to stand this test of our bonding and family solidarity.

We ask for your prayers too!
