Easter Sunday is usually a time to cherish the triumph of Christianity over sin and death. The day is a symbol of completeness of God's fight against the human character of sinfulness. Therefore we are to celebrate it with Joy.
Some Christian denominations however question the practice as a form of paganism because pagans who were converted into Christianity earlier celebrated the day to worship the Sun God. To fit the pagan practice to Christianity they converted Easter Sunday as a commemoration of the rising of the "Son of God" who is Jesus Christ.
Paganistic or not, for us Christians the day is now celebrated in honor of the rising of Jesus Christ and therefore it is a day of celebration. In our small Christian community, we had a fellowship after the Holy Easter mass celebration. It was a good time for bonding and sharing our experiences with every members of the family.
