My weekend was spiritually filled as the entire family joined the Trust Weekend of the CFC Foundation for Family and Life (FFL) last April 18-19, 2009 in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines. Despite the problem on budget, God provided us the means so that we may also partake with the Bread of the Spirit.
The Christian way of life is not purely for oneself. The greatest part of it is shared with the community, with fellow Christians. Without the effort to mingle with the rest of God's people, a believer is likened to a seed planted in the sand; it withers with the heat of the sun. This is the reason why as a worshiper I experience the greater joy in praising God if I share them with brothers and sisters in faith. The Trust Weekend for me is one opportunity to experience more Christian community life.
The event features series of talks and sharing sessions centered on the how merciful is God and that by entrusting to Him every aspect of our lives we would find answers to our problems. It showed us the way how to manifest this trust my commissioning us to be present day prophets and challenged us to proclaim God's messages even if we would go against the world.
As Christian believer who trusted God, we have the greatest mission to embark with and that is to proclaim the inseparable commandment of loving Him and loving our neighbor and encourage the world to do the same.
