You are important as a leap day in a leap year

This year is not a leap year, but last year was.

A leap day is a single day added to the calendar to cover up the lost times in the past 3 years. In a simple layman's explanation it goes like this. The complete revolution of the earth around the sun is 365 and 1/4 days. But since we cannot put 1/4 or 1/2 or 3/4 in the calendar we save the extra 1/4s from the three years and add them in the 4th year to make 1 whole day (simple mathematics) to make the fourth year 366 days or a leap year. But what is the implication? What's the big deal? Take note, only a single leap day change the normal year into a leap year. And that is something.

Many of us think that our value is lesser than the other. We keep comparing our success, our status, our wealth, and everything to our neighbor. We forget that we have our uniqueness that cannot be equated with others. If  you believe being a manager in your company makes you precious than the janitor guy next door, you are definitely wrong.

Come to think of it, we all came in this world bare. And contrary to what other's think we will not go out of this world bare. We will be clothed not by physical wealth or material value we acquire but by the grace of God. A grace that is earned by how we treat our fellow humans whether rich or poor, popular or neglected, powerful or weak.

Be a leap day, make a difference and receive the grace of God.
